South Korea’s government and business leaders recently visited Vietnam to explore major projects in urban development and high-speed rail, aiming to leverage Vietnam’s expansive infrastructure and urbanization plans. Discussions focused on the Dong Nam New Town project, a sustainable smart city planned to accommodate 156,000 residents, and the $57 billion North-South high-speed rail project.
Both governments emphasize the critical role of digital technology and government support in these projects, with South Korea proposing to contribute both hardware and software solutions. This collaboration underscores the increasing importance of government-backed digital innovations in driving infrastructure growth.
