Turkmen-Iran Energy Talks

The Turkmenistan Government has engaged in strategic discussions with Iran to enhance energy and transport cooperation. Key agreements include a memorandum to transform Iran into a regional gas transfer hub and plans to increase Turkmen gas supplies to Iran to 40 billion cubic meters annually. Additionally, the countries are negotiating an agreement to export Turkmen electricity to Iran and improve cargo transportation along key regional routes.

The role of digital resources will be vital in facilitating these agreements, with data analytics and digital infrastructure supporting the implementation and monitoring of joint projects. Both governments are focusing on strengthening regional energy and transport links through enhanced digital coordination.
