U.S. Government’s Urban Innovation Fund

The U.S. government, through its Smart Cities Partnership, has launched a $3 million Smart Cities Business Innovation Fund 2.0 to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in ASEAN member states. This initiative aims to foster innovative, carbon-neutral solutions for urban challenges, emphasizing collaboration with local entities to enhance sustainability and climate action.

By partnering with Singapore’s Enterprise Singapore, the U.S. government aims to promote private-sector cooperation and accelerate urban innovation. The fund encourages projects focused on areas such as biodegradable packaging and solar panel recycling, reinforcing the digital role of technology in addressing urban sustainability issues.
