The UK Government, through the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), is addressing a cyber security breach at Transport for London (TfL) that compromised data including names, emails, and bank details of around 5,000 customers.
A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the attack. The NCA and NCSC are collaborating with TfL to mitigate risks and enhance digital security. The incident underscores the government’s role in safeguarding public infrastructure and reinforces the need for robust digital protection measures to counter cyber threats.
