Veon’s $1B Ukraine Boost

The Ukrainian Government will benefit from Veon’s additional $1 billion investment in its subsidiary, Kyivstar, aimed at strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure amid ongoing conflict. This new funding, on top of a prior $600 million commitment, focuses on enhancing network and digital services, including new assets and partnerships. 

Kyivstar’s efforts include expanding 4G coverage, improving digital healthcare, and boosting energy resilience. The company’s investments in cybersecurity and Open RAN technology highlight its crucial role in supporting Ukraine’s digital advancement and recovery.
