Zambia’s Education Challenge

The Zambian Government’s initiative to provide free primary and secondary education has led to significant overcrowding, straining infrastructure and resources. While over two million additional students now access education, experts express concerns about declining quality, with large class sizes and inadequate facilities hampering learning. 

The government’s digital efforts in mass infrastructure projects, such as the production of desks and recruitment of teachers, aim to address these challenges. However, the sustainability of free education remains in question as Zambia continues to manage its economic recovery.
