Indonesian Smart City Project

Indonesian multinational telecommunications conglomerate Telkom Indonesia and South Korean telecommunications giant KT Corp have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on a smart city project in what will soon be the country’s new capital, Nusantara.

Under the agreement, KT will share its ICT technologies, including quantum cryptography, cybersecurity and smart city solutions with Telkom Indonesia. Deploying a joint task force team, the two companies will discuss the business model for the new capital’s data centres, as well as ideas for the traffic system, the use of energy and the adoption of artificial intelligence.
