The Gambian government, in collaboration with Presight, aims to accelerate digital transformation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the Gitex Africa 2024 event. The agreement focuses on enhancing communications infrastructure and implementing digital ID and government initiatives to improve public and private sector services.
Additionally, the partnership entails building a national safety operations center to bolster cybersecurity and ensure the integrity of digital transactions, aligning with The Gambia’s Digital Transformation Strategy and UNICEF’s birth registration efforts. Furthermore, The Gambia secured funding from ECOWAS to modernize digital infrastructure, highlighting regional support for digital public services.
