The government is advancing its “Digital Citizen” initiative through two key channels: upgrading the government portal and introducing a mobile application for official document access. Deputy Minister Damianou outlined plans for the upgraded portal, and the Digital Citizen app, expected by September.
These platforms will offer citizens digital access to official documents, with initial features including identity cards and licenses. Additionally, a Digital Assistant utilizing AI is in development, enhancing user support within the government’s digital framework. Cyprus is collaborating with Greece on this initiative, aiming for comprehensive digital service provision by year-end.
