Tunisian Hydrogen Project

The Tunisian’s government has partnered with HDF Energy for a transformative green hydrogen project, marking a major step in its national strategy. With an investment of €3 billion, the project will utilize 1 GW of wind, 500 MW of solar energy, and 800 MW of electrolysers to produce up to 65,000 tonnes of hydrogen.

This green hydrogen will be exported to Europe via the SoutH2 pipeline, highlighting Tunisia’s commitment to digital innovation and renewable energy. The initiative supports Tunisia’s goal to produce 8.3 million tonnes of hydrogen by 2050, demonstrating the government’s strategic role in fostering a digital and green energy future.
