Timor-Leste Advances Child Labour

The Timor-Leste government, with support from the ILO, is advancing its initiatives to eliminate child labour. The country is finalizing the National Action Plan on Child Labour and the List of Hazardous Works for Children. These efforts include the development of policies and regulations to ensure children’s rights and welfare, highlighting the government’s commitment to education and child protection.

Digital tools play a crucial role in these initiatives, from training programs for local authorities to monitoring systems that track child labour and support data-driven policy making.
