Saudi Arabia’s government has initiated a major five-year project with South Korean technology firm Naver to develop digital twin platforms for Riyadh and four other key cities. This USD100 million venture is a crucial element of the country’s smart city strategy, leveraging Naver’s advanced cloud and AI technology to create detailed 3D models of urban areas. These digital twins will enhance urban planning, infrastructure management, and disaster preparedness by providing real-time data and simulations.
Naver’s collaboration with Korean organizations aims to integrate smart city infrastructure and flood simulation into these digital platforms.
