Pakistan-Huawei Smart City Partnership

The Government of Pakistan is exploring a partnership with Huawei for the Islamabad Smart City project. Huawei aims to integrate services like traffic management, healthcare, and education into a unified digital platform and establish a National Data Centre to support Pakistan’s National Cloud Strategy, saving foreign exchange. 

The Prime Minister of Pakistan has emphasized the importance of this collaboration in advancing the country’s digital economy and increasing IT exports through extensive training programs. Additionally, the government is focused on digitizing institutions and enhancing digital skills through Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in collaboration with provincial governments.
