Afghan Education Crisis

The Taliban-led government in Afghanistan has severely restricted women’s access to education, banning secondary and higher education for girls over 12. This policy has left 2.5 million Afghan girls without education, deepening the country’s development issues.

The government’s actions have also led to a drastic drop in primary school enrollment, exacerbating child labor and early marriage. Despite these restrictions, international organizations like UNESCO are implementing digital learning solutions, such as radio and TV programs, to offer alternative education and push for the restoration of educational rights for Afghan women.
