China Government: Empowering Women Digitally

The Chinese Government has emphasized the role of digital development in empowering women, beyond just economic and digital fields. At the 5th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Women’s Forum in Qingdao, a key message was that women’s empowerment through the digital economy can address broader social issues. 

The forum highlighted how new technologies and digital tools enable women to amplify their voices and drive change. Key strategies discussed included tackling the digital divide and gender discrimination to ensure women fully benefit from digital advancements.
