The Pakistan and Nigeria governments have formed a strategic partnership to modernize Nigeria’s national identity system. Through this collaboration, Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will upgrade the middleware solution used by Nigeria’s National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), enhancing the efficiency, security, and interoperability of Nigeria’s national ID system.
This partnership is aimed at scaling NIMC’s enrollment and identification operations, with the deployment of additional biometric enrollment devices across Nigeria to expedite the process for applicants. Both governments emphasize the importance of digital solutions in fostering robust identity ecosystems and ensuring transparent operations in digital identity management.
