Morocco’s Digital ID Revolution

Morocco is set to launch a digital police portal, simplifying access to police administrative services, including national digital identity card issuance. This move aligns with the government’s efforts to fully digitize public services. The digital platform will facilitate access to services like criminal record certificates and appointments for ID card issuance. It will also enable registration for police recruitment examinations.

The digital police portal is designed to be user-friendly, leveraging cutting-edge technology in digital government. Individuals will need to verify their identity using the DGSN-developed digital identity portal and identity verification platform. Once a request is made, users will receive a notification when their document is available for collection at a nearby police office. This process is expected to reduce processing time, enhancing overall efficiency.
