Google Ventures CEO Bill Maris, has successfully closed its fifth fund, raising $525 million in capital commitments. This brings the total assets under management for the San Diego-based firm to $2.3 billion.
According to CEO and Managing Partner Andy Harrison, Section 32 focuses on investing in software-driven businesses in technology and healthcare that improve the human condition. The firm typically invests in Series A and Series B rounds, but also considers later-stage investments.
