ADB boosts Nauru fiscal sustainability

Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Nauru have inked a $5 million grant to bolster gender-responsive fiscal sustainability. This initiative targets debt reduction, revenue enhancement, and support for vulnerable groups, while advancing digital solutions for efficiency. ADB’s commitment to governance and innovation underscores the program’s focus on sustainable growth and inclusivity in the Pacific region.

The program, funded by $5 million grants from the Asian Development Fund, emphasizes policy reforms and institutional enhancements. These efforts aim to strengthen fiscal management, governance of state-owned enterprises, and equitable support for marginalized groups, with a focus on women.
