Comoros’ Digital Transformation

The African Development Bank has approved financing for a project aimed at digitizing the Comorian economy, with a focus on enhancing governance and accessibility of public services. This initiative involves constructing a new data center and an incubator while recruiting a private operator under a public-private partnership to optimize operations. It also includes developing a digital administration platform and a digital payment system to improve service delivery.

The project emphasizes the government’s role in establishing a National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data, ensuring data security and privacy. By enhancing digital training at local universities, the government aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, enabling the Comoros to better compete in the digital landscape.
