Delhi Government Enhances Bus Safety Measures

The Delhi government is implementing several precautionary measures to improve safety and reduce accidents involving government buses. New protocols include Aadhar-based duty allocation to prevent double shifts, biometric face recognition systems, and mandatory breath-analyzer tests at depots. Regular medical check-ups and periodic driver training using simulators are also introduced.

Additionally, a common pool of drivers linked with Aadhar numbers will be created to ensure drivers blacklisted by one operator are not hired by another. These measures leverage digital tools for monitoring and enhancing overall bus operation safety.
