Dubai Government has introduced a new Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Label through the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to promote sustainable business practices. Developed by the Centre for Responsible Business, the label aims to help organizations evaluate their ESG readiness and gain recognition. The framework, created with input from global ESG experts and the business community, aligns with international standards and offers numerous benefits, including compliance with best practices, improved brand reputation, and added value for investors.
This initiative, part of the UAE’s ‘Year of Sustainability,’ addresses the need for a comprehensive approach to ESG, encouraging businesses to integrate sustainability into their core operations. The ESG Label, valid for one year, provides organizations with a maturity level score and a feedback report to guide improvements. The Dubai Chamber’s commitment to advancing ESG practices supports the emirate’s goal of fostering responsible and sustainable business environments.
