Europe – Asia Lead

European and Asian cities dominate the 2024 Smart City Index. With seven of the top 10 cities from Europe, these urban centers prioritize citizen well-being through green spaces, cultural events, and talent attraction.

However, North American cities, notably absent from the top 20, face declining rankings, prompting a focus on trust, good governance, and digital innovation by governments to address future challenges like health concerns and climate change, ultimately aiming for smarter, more sustainable cities globally.
