The Ministry of Culture (MOC) had been accepting applications for grants and sponsorships for digital culture projects slated for implementation in 2024. These grants, administered through the Register of Cultural Bodies under the Ministry of Health, aimed to strengthen and highlight modern cultural actors and artists while engaging the public with contemporary artistic creations.
Digital culture, encompassing artistic and cultural productions leveraging digital technology, new media, and the creative economy sectors like design and gaming, was at the forefront. By funding digital initiatives that enhanced the development and promotion of high-quality Greek digital culture, the Ministry facilitated the digital transformation of cultural institutions and promoted alternative models of cultural production, ensuring a vibrant digital landscape for cultural expression and engagement.
