The initiative is part of Malaysia’s broader digital transformation, including the National Border Control System (NBCS) and the Automatic Biometric Identification System (ABIS), slated for 2026. These systems, integrating AI and biometric technologies, aim to enhance border security. Additionally, Datasonic Technologies is expanding its biometric auto gates and identity-related services, reflecting Malaysia’s commitment to leveraging digital tools for efficient border management.
