Pakistan Government and Digital Collaboration

The Pakistan Government’s Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has partnered with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Technology for People Initiative (TPI) to enhance customs operations through digital innovations. The collaboration aims to improve the Customs Risk Management System and design the National Targeting Centre (NTC) using machine learning and data analytics.

This initiative is set to streamline cross-border trade, reduce human interaction, and bolster regulatory compliance by targeting mis-invoicing and illicit goods. The project underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for more efficient and transparent public sector operations.
