Registry Lock

Registry Lock is a security device that protects domain names against hijacking attacks. This device blocks DNS modifications, transfers and deletions of domain names, to guarantee their security. Once this mechanism is activated, all future modifications must be authenticated via a secure multi-step process between Identity Digital and Gandi.

Registry Lock therefore prevents a third party from accessing the domain name registration data and diverting it to a fraudulent site by modifying the DNS.
