Samoa Government’s Digital Drive for Quality Education

The Government has amplified its focus on quality education through a digital-first approach with an $18 million grant from the $1.15 billion national budget for 2024-2025. This funding supports early childhood, primary, and secondary education, reflecting the Government’s commitment to leveraging digital tools for educational advancement.

New digital initiatives include $100,000 allocated for partnership grants with professional bodies to boost local expertise and $200,000 for a digital scholarship scheme for public servants pursuing undergraduate studies. These efforts aim to strengthen digital capacity and create a more robust educational infrastructure, aligning with the Government’s strategy for sustainable development through digital innovation.
