Researchers from the UK and Ghana collaborated on addressing the challenges of rapid urbanization. The AIMS-Imperial Global Fellows Programme brought together 40 doctoral researchers for a week-long program in Accra. The program focused on urban innovation for healthy and sustainable cities. Participants explored innovative solutions for transforming urban spaces.
The program culminated in teams presenting their accelerator projects to a panel of judges. The winning team proposed a solution to prevent wastage of overly ripe fruits and vegetables, addressing waste disposal issues and reducing methane emissions.
