The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, via the Centres for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), has introduced the Innovation in Behavioural Health (IBH) Model, leveraging digital technology to enhance care for Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries.
The model aims to address the holistic health needs of adults with mental health conditions and substance use disorders, fostering improved quality of care through interprofessional teams and health information technology (health IT) capacity building.
