Pakistan: Punjab Clean Air Initiative

Punjab and China have joined forces to combat smog, improve the environment, and enhance biodiversity. A joint working group, Beijing-Punjab Clean Air, was formed to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing. This partnership aims to develop environmentally friendly energy and transportation initiatives, as well as an advanced air quality management system.

The collaboration will also focus on introducing eco-friendly machinery and sustainable farming practices in the agricultural sector. Additionally, China will provide assistance in hydropower development and efficient water utilization. This partnership is a significant step towards addressing environmental challenges in Punjab and promoting sustainable development.
