Malaysia’s Digital Policy

The Malaysian government has announced plans to develop the Malaysia Digital Inclusiveness Index (MyDID) in an effort to measure the digital divide and implement targeted policies to bridge the gap.

In addition to promoting digital literacy, the government is introducing a digital adoption requirement for businesses, aligning with existing campaigns to encourage a cashless society. As part of this initiative, efforts will be made to ensure the safety and security of digital healthcare transactions through the implementation of end-to-end requirements for digital signatures.
