India Opens Doors to Global Universities

The Indian government has introduced new regulations allowing international universities to establish campuses in India, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This move has sparked interest from universities in the US, UK, Australia, and France, which are exploring opportunities to expand into India’s growing education sector.

The University Grants Commission’s (UGC) regulations aim to streamline entry for foreign institutions by addressing academic standards and operational requirements. This initiative is expected to enhance India’s international educational landscape and boost digital and skill development sectors by fostering global academic collaborations and infrastructure investments.
