Indian Government Takes Action on Digital Lending and Economic Policy

The India Government’s Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is addressing unauthorised practices by creating a public repository for digital lending apps. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and regulate digital lending activities, ensuring only authorised entities operate within the sector. 

Additionally, the RBI has maintained the repo rate at 6.5 percent and kept other rates unchanged to support ongoing economic resilience. The government’s digital strategy and monetary policy reflect its commitment to fostering a stable financial environment and enhancing regulatory oversight.
