India’s Tech Independence vs. European Challenges

The Indian Government has made significant strides to reduce dependence on Chinese technology due to security concerns and geopolitical tensions. Measures include banning Chinese apps, restricting investments, and promoting domestic technology. In contrast, the European Union Commission has raised alarms about Chinese technology in critical infrastructure, with ongoing scrutiny of platforms like TikTok and AliExpress. 

Despite security concerns, Germany continues to use Chinese tech in its 5G networks but plans gradual phase-outs. The EU must balance short-term technological benefits with long-term strategic security by strengthening its digital industry and creating incentives for domestic tech growth.
