Greece’s Digital Tax Initiative

The Greek government is set to implement a digital client register to enhance tax compliance, targeting sectors like vehicle services and event management. This digital tool, integrated with MyDATA and electronic receipts, will allow tax authorities to cross-check transactions, reducing tax evasion. Car repair shops, rental companies, and event organizers will be among the first required to comply.

This initiative replaces the traditional handwritten records once kept by professionals and marks a significant digital transformation in tax procedures. By leveraging modern technological methods, the government aims to increase transparency and efficiency across industries.
